Where I used to live, the field at the back of me was sprayed using a small aircraft, as the plane came over it released the spray both ways so in fact we got a double whammy.
I wonder what was used, and if the quantities were correct?
To make matters worse the leaflets which were sent round telling us to stay indoors and close the windows were delivered after the event.
The young man delivering them had protective clothing on, so that says a lot.
Would it be possible to test people with Parkinson’s to see if they have a build up of any of the chemicals, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
I am not technical enough to understand what this would take but surely it is worth looking at. I don’t for a moment thinks this would help me, but it may make a difference to someone in the future. I would even volunteer myself for trials how’s that.
But then again it is probably too late as this happened over 20 years ago, but wouldn’t it be interesting?
Parkinson's has been linked to various environmental risks, including some chemicals in pesticides. I wonder if there is an occupational hygienist in your area? If so, you'd probably get a fair amount of information, since they are trained to determine risks in certain environments.
